Pharos

 The main deliverable of the Pharos Project is an open and extensible platform for building search oriented applications.

Different kinds of users can access the search services provided by the platform:

• The general public will get undifferentiated search features and results
• Regional public will be able to access specific search engines and get contextualized results
• Broadcasters shall be able to search for contents on multiple sources
• Registered users will also get personalized contents and recommendations based on social knowledge

Results will be available on PC or mobile platforms.
The Pharos platform is based on a publish-subscribe protocol that exploits AV-RSS as a syndication language.
